Reflections.
So sorry I have been so quiet, but this time of year always finds me with so little time to spare - I know I have been neglecting you, tumblr. Shame on me.
Today, I am taking a moment to reflect on what I am most thankful for. I know, that’s sort of a thanksgiving thing - but hear me out.
I am thankful for my friends, who have helped me and pushed me to grow and learn things about myself...

Day 3 of Lua Stuffs
So today I got a crash course in if statements, which are used to determine something about the situation before performing an action.
If statements always follow this formula, at least in some form -
if guard (a condition or set of conditions that must be true) then
body (what to do if condition is true)
end
You can also use logical operators - such as and, or, not, else, and elseif....
Day 2 of Learning Lua
Last night I had my second Lua tutorial from Arcturus, one of my coworkers at Metaplace. :)
Again - it went pretty well! I am feeling like I understand more about how this all works already. I haven’t started the scripts related to the lesson yet - I’ll probably do that tonight sometime.

Day 1 of learning Lua / Metascript
So, one of my coworkers is teaching me to script in Metaplace, using Metascript - a sandboxed version of Lua. Whee!
He explained everything beautifully and my “homework” was just to make a hello world script, which I did - however, I forgot one thing: to run a command, you have to attach the script to your player template. Oops! I spent a few minutes staring at the tiny little script...

Last night at 1 am..
